What We Do

Sports

Special Olympics Mississippi offers 19 Olympic-­style individual and team sports that provide quality year-­round training and competition opportunities for persons with intellectual disabilities. From the local ball fields to the stages of state, regional, USA and World Games competitions, our athletes push hard and play harder to beat their personal bests, defying the odds again and again as they showcase their talents and triumphs.

FALL GAMES

Our statewide 2025 Fall Games event will feature:
Team Softball (Traditional and Unified), Croquet, Horse Shoes, Soccer Skills, and Corn Hole. The 2025 Fall Games will take place at Camp Shelby near Hattiesburg; October 3-5, 2025.

Athletes will arrive on Friday October 3rd and with our Opening Ceremonies that night. Athletes will compete Saturday, October 4th, with Closing Ceremonies and a Victory Dance ending the day. Athletes depart on Sunday, October 5th.

Summer Games

Our statewide 2025 Fall Games event will feature:

SPRING GAMES

Hundreds of athletes will convene for our annual statewide Spring Games.
​Squads representing nearly every region in the state will compete in Basketball Skills, as well as, full-court 5-on-5, half-court 3-on-3, and unified basketball matchups.
The 2025 Flag Football & Cheerleading tournament will take place at Camp McCain in Grenada MS
​November 7- 8, 2025. Athletes will arrive on Friday, November 7th with our Opening Ceremonies that night.
Athletes will compete and depart on Saturday, November 8th.
