Coaching Letter of Intent 2025-2026

This letter is a formal expression of my personal commitment to the inclusion, acceptance, and respect of all students through the implementation of interscholastic coaching. I will make efforts to continually build an inclusive community for everyone, especially students with Intellectual Disabilities (ID). • Coaches are required to undergo a background check unless there is a valid background check through a public- school employer in place. • Coaching certifications must be completed within 30 days of the signed letter of intent. This is an online approved training through Special Olympics of Mississippi. • Should there be a need for additional sports specific training, coaches are required to contact the state office for scheduling when the online coach’s certification is completed. • Coaches must provide documentation of required practices to state office and compete in a minimum of one event to receive stipend payout.
